This Murphy Ladder Commercial Is Hilarious

This Murphy Ladder Commercial Is Hilarious

Ever since online streaming became the de facto way to watch television–let’s be real, we’re talking mostly about Netflix–we have all saved ourselves a shitload time by not watching commercials. Netflix alone saved the average user from 9.1 days of commercials last year, and we’ve all been watching more since the quarantine. We’re good with all of that because commercials suck, and they’re a waste of time. This advertisement for the Murphy Ladder is not so much a commercial as it a hilarious cinematic masterpiece designed to sell a product you didn’t know you needed. We can all get behind the Ladder Luchador smacking people in the face with a folding and sideways-collapsing ladder, which is one of the reasons this spot will go down in history with the likes of Apple’s “1984”, Budweiser’s “Whassup”, Old Spice and Dollar Shave Club as some of the most effective and memorable commercials of all time. They absolutely work, too. By the time you read this, our Murphy Ladder should already be here.
