The Royal Tenenbaums House

"Royal Tenenbaum bought the house on Archer Avenue in the winter of his 35th year." Although Archer Avenue doesn't really exist, the home featured in Wes Anderson's 2001 film The Royal Tenenbaums House does, and it's for rent. The Flemish Revival mansion actually sits on the corner of Convent Avenue in Hamilton Heights and was built in 1899 by developer Jacob D. Butler with design by Adolph Hoak. Its 6,000 square foot interior comes with six bedrooms to house a family of geniuses, along with a formal living room, formal dining room, butler kitchen, family room, chef's kitchen, and garden. It also maintains original details like the stained windows, ornate woodwork, and six fireplaces that give the dwelling its unique charm.
