LOS ANGELES — Copper Cow Coffee, a specialty Vietnamese coffee company, has raised $8.5 million in a Series A financing co-led by Cultivan Sandbox and Arborview Capital. Additional investors participating in the round included Siddhi Capital, Silverton Partners, Social Starts, Montage Ventures, CRCM and Stormbreaker Ventures.

Founded in 2017, Copper Cow Coffee offers single-use pour-over coffees and creamers that are sold online at coppercowcoffee.com and in more than 3,000 retailers, including Whole Foods Market, Sprouts and Walmart stores nationwide. Since launch, Copper Cow Coffee has tripled revenue annually. The company plans to use the proceeds from its funding round to expand distribution and product innovation.

“We are thrilled to invest in our innovation to continue to ‘wow’ our customers and support our sustainable coffee partners in Vietnam,” said Debbie Wei Mullin, founder and chief executive officer of Copper Cow Coffee. “We are excited that our investors and newly formed all-female board are just as dedicated to our eco-friendly mission as we are.”

Copper Cow Coffee sources from Vietnamese farms that practice organic agricultural and processing methods, including the use of organic matter compost and polyculture without the use of pesticides.

“Copper Cow has built a brand that resonates with consumers around both a sustainable product and an engaging experience,” said Amanda Donohue-Hansen, managing director of Cultivian Sandbox Ventures. “We're excited to support its mindfully crafted premium coffee experience for home and on the go.”
