After nearly seven wonderful years at Transamerica Ventures, yesterday was my final day. It is sad to leave behind so many remarkable people at Transamerica and Aegon, but I will always look back fondly on what was an incredible journey. I am forever grateful. With our close this morning, today also marks the end of Transamerica Ventures as an entity. Georg Schwegler – my former boss and now current partner – and I, alongside the backing of the wonderful team at Montana Capital Partners, led by Christian Diller, Simon Wickström, Niklas Kleine Jaeger, Ulf Klebeck, and Katja Baur, have spun out the fund into a new entity called HighScale Ventures. For now we’re focused entirely on the current portfolio, but we're also keeping an eye on what comes next. It has been a long and winding road, but I'm excited we could reach this outcome. Thanks to all the people at Transamerica and Aegon for their tireless work in making this possible, and thanks to the M&A/Fast Ventures group at Deloitte for their assistance in managing this complex process. For anyone who reads this, it has been a pleasure interacting with you over the years. I don’t know exactly what the future holds, but I look forward to our continued conversations and collaboration, and I’m happy to help where I can.
Congrats to Andrew Pitz, Georg Schwegler and the whole team!
